1. Paddle’s role and payment environment

Checkout uses Paddle. Paddle is the Merchant of Record/authorized reseller, charges the buyer, and handles taxes, receipts, payment methods, and execution of refunds; SearchProof AI is responsible for product information, service delivery, and technical support. SANDBOX on the pricing page means no real charge; only LIVE can create a real transaction. Check the environment label and Paddle order summary before purchase.

2. Products, prices, and taxes

  • Starter, Growth, Pro, and Business subscriptions provide the features and monthly or annual interval shown on the pricing page.
  • The one-time product provides one deep analysis and related reports without a subscription, as shown at checkout.
  • Currency, tax, discounts, and final total are calculated by Paddle PricePreview and checkout based on location and business details; checkout controls.
  • A user-requested upgrade or interval change is processed after approval of the proration amount and effective time shown by Paddle. A downgrade within the same interval normally takes effect at the next renewal.
  • A separately purchased analysis use has no contractual expiry while the account remains open unless checkout displays one. Each manually started deep analysis and each scheduled weekly analysis deducts one analysis use when started; unused analysis uses included in a subscription do not roll over.

3. Order review, contract formation, and commencement

Before payment, buyers can review and correct product, quantity, interval, renewal, currency, tax-inclusive total, email, and payment method. The payment transaction forms when Paddle authorizes and issues completion or confirmation email; SearchProof AI verifies the webhook and provisions access. For a one-time analysis, digital performance begins when the user starts analysis, initiating public-page collection, PageSpeed, and external AI observations.

4. Subscription renewal and price changes

Subscriptions renew monthly or annually as shown at checkout and recurring charges continue until cancellation. A displayed free trial may be canceled before billing begins. Before increasing recurring charges for a South Korean consumer or converting free use to paid recurring billing, the effective time, old and new price, payment method, and cancellation conditions, method, and effect are disclosed at least 30 days in advance and separate express consent is obtained. Initial blanket consent or continued use is not a substitute; without consent, the increase or paid conversion is not applied. Elsewhere, the stronger applicable mandatory rule or Paddle process applies.

5. Subscription cancellation and end of access

Subscriptions may be canceled at any time in the Paddle customer portal linked from the account or confirmation email. Cancellation normally takes effect at the end of the current billing period and prevents the next renewal. Cancellation alone does not automatically refund the current period; refund eligibility follows the standards below. Access may continue to period end, while paused or canceled status restricts new paid work.

Account deletion does not itself cancel a Paddle subscription. To prevent billing from continuing without an account, deletion may be blocked while a renewable subscription or incomplete cancellation remains; cancel first in the customer portal and confirm the status. Privacy-rights deletion requests requiring assistance are handled separately through support.

6. Withdrawal and refund standards

  • If mandatory consumer law or the Paddle Refund Policy applicable at the transaction grants stronger rights than this policy, that standard prevails; a later external-policy change is not applied retroactively to the buyer’s detriment.
  • Where the Paddle Refund Policy at the transaction grants a South Korean consumer unconditional cancellation and a full refund within seven days of the transaction, that right is not limited because digital analysis or service delivery has started. The start date and request method follow the order confirmation and the policy applicable to that transaction.
  • Except where mandatory law, the Paddle Refund Policy in effect at the time of the transaction, or the service-failure rules below require otherwise, subscription fees, separately purchased or additional analysis uses, and fees for paid features are generally non-refundable. In particular, once analysis processing has begun and one analysis use has been deducted, or a paid result has been delivered, we do not refund that portion or restore the analysis use for change of mind, the buyer’s internal reasons, or failure to achieve expected scores, rankings, revenue, or other outcomes. This rule does not apply to non-delivery, a material functional defect, a duplicate or unauthorized charge, a system error, or any non-waivable remedy.
  • Where SearchProof AI or Paddle approves an exceptional or discretionary refund and neither law nor Paddle policy requires a full refund, the refundable amount may be calculated by reference to remaining unused analysis uses or the unexpired service period, after accounting for paid features, analysis processing, and other services already supplied. Analysis uses already consumed, analyses whose processing has begun, and services already supplied may be excluded from a partial-refund calculation. Submitting a request does not guarantee approval.
  • If the service or result differs from its description, advertising, or the contract, users may seek withdrawal, correction, re-performance, or a refund within the applicable periods, including up to three months from supply or 30 days from discovery under Korean law.
  • Subjective dissatisfaction with a score, ranking, recommendation, or expected business outcome, and variation in responses from third-party AI or search services, do not by themselves constitute non-conformity, a service defect, or grounds for a refund. We will nevertheless review documented sampling issues, technical errors, connected channels, and the contracted scope objectively and fairly.

7. Analysis failure, duplicate, and unauthorized charges

If a system error prevents a valid analysis from starting or access to contracted core results, and a reasonable rerun does not resolve it, users may request replacement or a full or appropriate partial refund. A duplicate authorization of the same order or a verified unauthorized payment will be canceled or refunded with Paddle. Where objective transaction or usage records reasonably indicate payment fraud, a chargeback knowingly supported by materially false information, or repeated or coordinated refund abuse, access associated with the disputed transaction may be temporarily and proportionately restricted during review, and relevant order, access, processing-start, and delivery records may be provided to Paddle or the payment provider. A good-faith request for a refund, withdrawal, chargeback, or other statutory remedy is not by itself abuse and will not be penalized.

One analysis use is deducted when a manual or weekly analysis job starts. If the job is canceled while still QUEUED, before processing begins, the deducted analysis use is restored. If the user cancels after processing begins, the analysis use is not restored because external requests and computing costs have already been incurred. System failure, a duplicate deduction, and remedies required by law or the Paddle policy applicable to the transaction remain subject to the applicable re-run, restoration, or refund standards.

To the extent permitted by law, once a full refund or chargeback is final, access to paid reports and analysis results, unused analysis uses, and subscription rights attributable to that transaction may be withdrawn or disabled. Used benefits and partial refunds are reconciled individually under applicable law and transaction and usage records to prevent duplicate benefit. A disputed amount will not be charged to a new payment method without authorization or another lawful basis.

8. Failed payments, taxes, and receipts

On payment failure, Paddle may retry and mark a subscription past_due, paused, or canceled. Any temporary past_due grace depends on service configuration and is not permanent access. Tax calculation, tax exemption/business IDs, invoices, and receipts are handled through the Paddle portal or buyer support. Exchange rates or foreign-transaction fees may be charged separately by the payment institution.

9. Requesting and processing refunds

Provide account email, Paddle order/transaction ID, product, payment date, related analysis, and reason to the official SearchProof AI support channel or Paddle buyer support at paddle.net. The operator reviews delivery/error records and sends approval or relevant information to Paddle. Paddle returns approved refunds to the original payment method, subject to mandatory deadlines such as those under Korean law; banks may need additional business days. Refund status, denial reasons, and escalation routes will be provided.

Where a withdrawal is valid under South Korean law, the refund is normally issued within three business days of withdrawal and statutory late-payment rules apply. Paddle-discretionary refunds and bank/card posting times follow the Paddle policy and payment-provider process applicable to the transaction. SearchProof AI promptly supplies necessary transaction and delivery records and does not shift its statutory responsibility to Paddle.

10. Records, policy changes, and mandatory law

Contract/withdrawal and payment/supply records may be kept for five years, complaint/dispute records for three years, and advertising records for six months under applicable law. This policy will be updated before new transactions when products, prices, or Paddle policies change; materially adverse changes will be announced. Checkout terms at the transaction, Paddle policy, and stronger mandatory consumer law in the buyer’s location prevail.

Related standards and external policies
